Dano-Mast finishes last as Falbrav wins Hong Kong Cup (Gr.1)
(03.12.14) Danish raider Dano-Mast was among the first horses to hit the straight at Sha Tin on Sunday afternoon, but soon he faded through the field to finish last of the 14 runners in the Hong Kong Cup. The hot favorite Falbrav ended his career with a marvellous win in the 2000 meter race. Under Frankie Dettori the son of Fairy King easily passed his rivals down the stretch and won by more than three lenghts in front of Rakti and Hong Kongs own Elegant Fashion. Falbrav, trained in Newmarket by Luca Cumani, will now continue his life as a stallion i Japan.
Dano-Mast trainer Flemming Poulsen was a bit dissapointed by his horse's effort, but blaimed travel sickness and three antibiothic treatments earlier in the week, which took out the last power when it really mattered. "Dano-Mast will now have a long break in Deauville, before coming back in training at Chantilly during the spring of 2004", Poulsen said.

The horse has finally recovered from a bit of illness since landing in Hong Kong, and the trainer is again fully satisfied with the way things are going. "He is on his way, it seems that we're in the right direction now, and I will give ham a small canter again on Thursday morning", reports Flemming Poulsen from Sha Tin Racecourse.

Dano-Mast and Flemming Poulsen have arrived at Sha Tin Racecourse.
