Copenhagen Racecourse in Klampenborg was established in 1910, and the home of the five classic races The Danish 1000 Guineas (Mowerinaløb), Danish 2000 Guineas, Danish Derby, Danish Oaks and Danish St. Leger.
Copenhagen Racecourse is also the home of Denmark's only Pattern race, the Group-3 Scandinavian Open Championship, which is held every 1st Sunday in August.
Copenhagen Racecourse is a grass track, with training facilities on sand.
Copenhagen Racecourse was originally owned by The Danish Jockey Club, but in 1958 Klampenborg Galopselskab A/S took over the leadership and maintenance of the course.
